Instructions for all Graduates

  • The Ninth Convocation has been scheduled to be held on the 24th August, 2017 at ‘U Soso Tham’ Auditorium, IGP Shillong.
  • It is compulsory for all Graduating Students to collect the Convocation Forms in order to receive the graduation certificates.They can collect them from the Evaluation Office or download from the University Website at this link : ''(for pdf format) and  all completely filled in applications as per instructions must be submitted to the Students’ Evaluation office. Attach a photocopy of the cumulative transcript and the Accounts Copy of the Bill book or DD along with the Convocation form.
  • All applications must be submitted by the 18th August,2017 to the Evaluation Department, MLCU Main Office, Dongktieh, Nongrah. They can also be sent through post attached with the DD to this address: Martin Luther Christian University, Block 1, Dongktieh, Nongrah, Shillong 793006, Meghalaya.
  • The fee for receiving the degree in person or in absentia is Rs 2000 and for courses below or equal to 6 months of duration is Rs. 1000 to be paid by DD payable at Federal Bank of India, in favor of Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong or through the students' bill book.
  • For those attending the Convocation in person, the registration process and issuing of convocation gowns/robes will start from the 16th August up to the 22nd of August 2017 from 10 am to 4.30 pm.
  • An eligibility certificate will be issued from the evaluation office for collection of the convocation gowns/robes. The students are to produce the Eligibility certificate on collection of gowns.
  • Please note that Gowns will only be given after the form is duly filled and payment made.
  • All Gowns are to be returned back, unwashed and undamaged to the University at the Gown Collection Counter at the U Soso Tham Auditorium premises on the same day  immediately after the convocation ceremony is over.
  • A fine of Rs.700.00 only will be charged for lost or damaged gowns.
  • Students attending the Convocation in person are to come for rehearsal on the 23rd August, 2017 at ‘U Soso Tham’ Auditorium, IGP Shillong at 11am SHARP.
  • Students who cannot collect their own original documents are to issue an authorization letter attached with an attested photocopy of the student's id who is issuing the authorization letter ,only after the Convocation.
  • Students applying in absentia can send an additional postal fee of Rs. 100 if they require their certificates to be sent to their addresses indicating with an application for the same.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it and also attaching the scanned copy of the filled in convocation form along with a scanned copy of the DD. The originals can be sent through post or the students can bring the originals when they come to Shillong. Gowns will be provided at the venue on the Convocation day for those attending in person only after prior information.
