Department of Computer Sciences

The Mission Statement
"To produce industry ready students by keeping pace with rapidly changing computing technologies and create computer professionals of high standards with the capabilities of adapting to the needs of the society to which they belong."

The department was started in 2006 and the total number of graduates so far is 890. There are 9 faculty members.

Special projects and activities:

  1. The department of Computer Sciences is implementing the Spoken Tutorial Project of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in all the departments of the University.
  2. The Department conducts the Symantec IT Training project in collaboration with ETPL, Shillong.
  3. Besides undertaking various projects in software development, hardware and networking infrastructure implementation, students of the Computer Science Department conduct community outreach programmes under the theme “Learn, Teach, Serve”.
