Lateral Entry to 3rd Semester for BCA, BSc (Computer Sciences), BSc (IT), PGDCA

Lateral Entry to 5th Semester for MSc (CS) and MSc (IT)

Students seeking admission to the 3 years MCA program have to take a proficiency test.

About the program

The program is designed to enable students to analyze a problem, identify, formulate and use the appropriate computing and engineering requirements for obtaining a solution. The program puts emphasis on the latest programming languages and tools. More than half of the program credit is by experiential learning and hands on practicals. Students are allowed to take elective subjects from the 4thsemester onwards. The 6th semester is dedicated to project work to be done in industry and thus provide students the opportunities to gain real world experience .The program outline of MCA is revised every year by consulting industry in the state and the region to make students industry ready.

Provides understanding of the fundamentals of computing.

Basic competencies

2nd year
3rd & 4th Semester

It covers various aspects of computational theory, programming, algorithm design and optimization, network and database management

Core Competencies and Electives

3rd year
5th& 6th Semester

Build expertise in particular platform based on personal choice of the student and provide valuable experience before stepping into the professional world of information technology.

The MCA program focuses on providing good practical, industry-oriented learning teaching to meet the IT requirements of small, medium and large enterprises and also to develop entrepreneurs.
