Duration: 3 years (6 semesters) + 1 year internship
Eligibility: Class XII (or equivalent +2 examination)

A Health Information Management (HIM) professional is one of the key positions in a healthcare organization responsible for management of various health related information of patients that are generated within the healthcare system. HIM involves maintaining, collecting, analyzing protecting and disseminating traditional and digital medical information essential for delivery of quality care. The World Health Organization stated that the proper collection, management and use of information within the healthcare systems will determine the system’s effectiveness in detecting health problems, defining priorities, identifying innovative solutions and allocating resources to improve health outcomes.
