Duration: 3 years About the program The program includes a broad range of technical modules in hardware and computer networking so that the student will be able to maintain computer and network hardware, and also system software. The student will also be able to support all peripheral equipment which connects to computer networks. The 1st year will cover the key scientific, mathematical and engineering concepts that are essential for a future career in computer science. In the 2nd year subjects on computer application will be included and the 3rd year gives emphasis to the specialized subjects of Security, Hardware and Networking in order to provide valuable skills before stepping into the professional world of information technology. Students will be capable of implementing, administering and maintaining computer hardware, networks and security systems together with the knowledge of business operations and management. The program have a strong emphasis on the practical application of the technologies the student will learn about and therefore more than half of the program credits is based on experiential learning and practicals. The program is for those seeking a career in designing, building and maintaining computer networks. |
