Certificate Course in Phlebotomy

Duration: 5 months + 1 month internship
Eligibility: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology

Phlebotomy is the act of drawing or removing blood from the circulatory system through a cut (incision) or puncture in order to obtain a sample for analysis and diagnosis. The objective of the programme is to develop a pool of trained phlebotomists who can be employed by diagnostic and health service providers. The students are trained to develop an orientation to service, empathy, basic communication skills and the ability to follow health and hospital protocols.
