About the Course:

This is a technical programme, offered with an aim to produce middle level technical workforce equipped with the knowledge and skills of scientific, mathematical, computer applications and good communication skills so as to meet the demand of such workforce. It also aims to provide the students with a strong base on the subject, by blending classroom based learning with work related practical experience. This will help them to move on with for further studies like BCA/BSc(CS),BSc(IT).

Career prospects:
Diploma pass outs may work as Junior programmer/ web developer, Computer Hardware Assistant or Technician, Data Entry Operator at various organization of Computer Centers/School/College/University; public Sector Organization; Private and Business Organizations and Industry. They may even start their own commercial organization providing services in repair and maintenance of Computers and other peripherals with a very little investment. 
Course of study:
The DCA program focuses on providing theoretical and practical -oriented education to meet the demand of middle level employees of SME and also on developing entrepreneurial graduates.

Theoretical knowledge: Lectures, Demonstration, Group discussions,Assignments, Case studies

Practical knowledge: Laboratory, Project works, Industrial visits, Presentations, Seminar, Workshops and other experiential activities.

1st  year (1st& 2nd Semester)

Enables a student to learn the key scientific and mathematical concepts that are essential for a future career in Computer Science.

Basic competencies

2nd year (3rd & 4th Semester)

It covers various computer application courses with practical aspects of it

Core Competencies

3rd Year (5th & 6th Semester)

It gives emphasis on the individual areas of interest and explored it by implementing in a project
