About the Program

Peace studies is a dire need in this present epoch where communities grapple with conflicts. The Master of Arts in Peace and Justice (MAPJ) programme is designed to enable learners to understand the theories of conflicts and peace, the causes and processes of conflicts, the various methods of conflict resolution, the approaches to peacebuilding, and human rights for justice and peace.

Course delivery

  • Theory: lectures, review of literature, paper presentations, guest lectures, discussions, paper presentations, and analysis of video clips and movies
  • Practical: role plays, field visits, internship, workshops, seminars, debates, practical works in the community
