Covid-19 preventive measures put in place at MLCU
  • Recognising the risk posed by commutes in public transport, the University has arranged to and fro bus services for all its staff wherein proper physical distancing and sanitary protocols are strictly adhered to.

  • Thermal scanning with contactless thermometers is carried out at the entrance for everyone who enters the University premises.

  • Hand sanitisation facilities are placed in various areas of the premises.

  • Staggered work hours and working days is implemented for all the staff. Wherever possible, rotation is arranged to reduce the number of people in the premises.

  • Meetings and conferences are carried out in a blended mode both online and offline.

  • Classes are conducted regularly via online mode and grades are awarded through continuous formative evaluation.

  • Entrance of outsiders is restricted. Students applying for seats are directed to apply online via a dedicated portal in the University’s website.

  • Staff are encouraged to stay home and isolate themselves in case they suspect to have come into contact with the virus.

  • Schedules of offline classes are done in a manner to ensure that only 40% of the total number of students are coming to the university in a day.

Vacancy
Applications are invited for the position of JRF (2 post), Project Assistant (4 post), Field Assistant (4 post) for the DST project titled “Development of Science and Technology Innovation Hub: Utilization and adaption of traditional knowledge, resources and technological advances in post-harvest management and nutrition for empowering children, women and youth in tribal Meghalaya”.

The desirable qualifications required are as follows:

1.      For JRF: – MSc Food Science/ M.Tech Food Technology/ MSc Nutrition and Dietetics/ MSc Clinical Nutrition / MSc Home Science (Specialized in Nutrition).
Preferred: NET, Experience in Food Processing, Product Development & Analysis of nutrients.
2.      For Project Assistant: MSW/ MA Adult Education/ MSc Home Science/ MA in Rural Development and allied disciplines.
3.      For Field Assistant: MSW/ MA Adult Education/ MSc Home Science/ MA in Rural Development and allied disciplines.
