Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) with specializations in: Family and Child Development/Mental Health 10+2 any stream 3 years
Master of Social Work (MSW) with specializations in: Public Health/Family & Child Welfare/Community Development/Gender Bachelor’s degree 2 years
Master of Public Health (MPH) Medical graduates (MBBS), Dental graduates (BDS), Graduates of AYUSH [Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (BNYS),Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS),Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS),Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS)],B Tech or BE (Any Branch) and graduates of four year degree programmes in Veterinary Sciences, Nursing Sciences, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, or students with a postgraduate degree in Statistics/Biostatistics, Demography, Population Studies, Nutrition, Sociology, Economics, Psychology, Anthropology, Social Work, Management or Law may apply. Work experience in a health- related field is desirable. Along with the Application form, candidates shall submit a 500 word essay on a public health issue of relevance to India and a 300 word personal statement on ‘Why I wish to do an MPH’

Bachelor of Arts in Music (BA Mus) Higher Secondary or Equivalent +2 Examinations in any stream preferably with certificate in music

An Aptitude Test for the New Applicants for BA in Music and MA in Music will be conducted in the Department of Fine Arts, Nongrah

The test will cover the following areas: -
  1. Playing an Instrument
  2. Singing
  3. Aural Test
Applicants are requested to bring the original documents during the Aptitude Test.

Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies Eligibility Duration
Master of Theology (MTh)Specialisation: Missiology/ Christian Counselling B.D. or M.Div. from a recognized body/University or its equivalent deemed fit by the Academic Committee. Ministerial experience is an advantage for admission. Candidates are required to sit through an Entrance Examination and Personal Interview. The dates of the entrance and interview will be intimated shortly. The syllabus for the entrance exam shall be as follows-

Admission Steps

 

  1. All applicants must use the application form downloaded from the University website or a photocopy.
  2. The application fee is waived for this year’s admissions.
  3. The last date for receiving the filled-in application form with the required attached documents is July 15, 2020 for undergraduate and August 1, 2020 for postgraduate programmes.
  4. Admission will be granted on first come first serve basis

*Bridge course in science to be taken concurrently in the 1st Semester

  • **Lateral Entry to any of the AHS UG courses will be acceptable only from 3rd semester after completion of 2 years Diploma with 6 months internship in the same discipline.
  • **Lateral Entry to B.Optom 1st or 2nd year of B.Optom after Vision Technician and/or Dip Optom.
  • **Lateral Entry to MPH 2nd year after Diploma in Public Health (PHFI-MOHFW programmes)
  • **Lateral entry to MSc CP 3rd semester after 1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology.
  • **Lateral entry to MSW 3rd semester after 1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work.
  • **Lateral entry to BSW 5th semester after a Diploma after +2
  • **Lateral entry to MA Music 3rd semester after 4 years BA Music.
  • **Lateral Entry to 3rd Semester MCA for BCA, BSc(Computer Sciences), BSc(IT),PGDCA
  • **Lateral Entry to 5th Semester MCA for MSc(IT)/MSc(CS)
  • ** Lateral Entry to 3rd semester BCA after 3 years DCA.

 

LATE ADMISSION POLICY

Understanding that the students often have valid reasons for late applications, the University recommends the following policy for late admissions:

1. Regular admissions shall be continued till 30 days after the first day of classes

2. After the close of admissions and up to thirty days , students may be admitted with the following provisions:

  • Students shall be admitted with a specific undertaking that it may not always be possible for the student to catch up with classes, in spite of extra academic support and in which case the University will not be held liable
  • These students will be mentored by individual faculty member(s) to catch up their academic work
  • Students will undergo counselling if required
  • Late admission fee for academic support is applicable if a module (s) is completed by the time the students take admission
  • The late admission fee will be charged as per University Policy for all courses. The total fee for the subject shall be shared by the number of students availing the extra classes
  • A log of the supplementary learning and CFE will be maintained and signed by the student, faculty member and HOD and forwarded to the Dean Academics for academic and administrative processing
  • The student may be permitted to proceed to the second Semester according to the Promotion Policy of the University

3. Late admissions may be permitted after two months of the first day of classes with the approval of the Vice Chancellor and subject to para 2 above.
