Doctor of Ministry

The Doctor of Ministry (DMIN) is a professional doctoral degree designed to enrich religious leaders in traditional and non-traditional settings, to deepen their understanding of and commitment to ministry, and to refine its practice. The programme’s mission is “to develop leaders for communities of faith and to equip women and men for ministries and vocations that provide personal religions and social transformation.” It provides men and women with the opportunity to pursue advanced study in Christian Life and Ministry by research in the Context of professional practice, with supporting specialized coursework. It is designed for those who seek to expand their own understanding and develop new knowledge in such an areas for professional reasons and, additionally for academic, vocational and/or personal reasons.


Eligibility
B.D./M.Div. or its equivalent from a recognized University/body.
Bridge Course are offered to students to fulfill Credit deficiency for MABS, MACS and MA in Christian Studies form a recognized body/University.

Course of Study

The Course of the DMin program consists of 16 credits for Course work and 20 credits of Research work. The Duration of the program is 3 years.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it .The application must be filled in completely and should be accompanied by a 500 words essay on "Why I want to do a PhD and how it will help my career and benefit society". The applicant will have to also submit a tentative research proposal of approximately 1500 words with five to ten academic references. The prescribed format can be downloaded along with the Application form. The filled - in application form, essay and tentative proposal along with the application fee of Rs 500/- should be submitted at the same time. The application forms will be screened. Selected candidates will be called for the entrance test and pay Rs 5000/- as entrance test.

Entrance Test:

An Entrance Test of 3 hours duration is conducted every year covering the following areas:

  1. Communication skills
  2. Analytical skills
  3. Research methods
  4. Community orientation

Interview: After the entrance test, shortlisted candidates will have to appear for an interview at 9:30am. Reporting Time 15 minutes before time.

  • Career Path
  • Discussion of the tentative Research Proposal submitted with the Application form.
