Admission Steps

  1. All applicants must use the application form downloaded from the University website or a photocopy.
  2. The application fee is waived for this year’s admissions.
  3. The last date for receiving the filled-in application form with the required attached documents is July 15, 2020 for undergraduate and August 1, 2020 for postgraduate programmes.
  4. Admission will be granted on first come first serve basis

*Bridge course in science to be taken concurrently in the 1st Semester for:

  1. Students who opt for BSc programs listed below from commerce/arts streams
  2. Students who opt for MSc programs with an arts degree
  3. Students who opt for MA Economics and MA English as below
  4. Other applicants as below

** Fees for the Bridge courses are Rs. 2000 per credit

  • **Lateral Entry to any of the AHS UG courses will be acceptable only from 3rd semester after completion of 2 years Diploma with 6 months internship in the same discipline.
  • **Lateral Entry to B.Optom 1st or 2nd year of B.Optom after Vision Technician and/or Dip Optom.
  • **Lateral Entry to MPH 2nd year after Diploma in Public Health (PHFI-MOHFW programmes)
  • **Lateral entry to MSc CP 3rd semester after 1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology.
  • **Lateral entry to MSW 3rd semester after 1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work.
  • **Lateral entry to BSW 5th semester after a Diploma after +2
  • **Lateral entry to MA Music 3rd semester after 4 years BA Music.
  • **Lateral Entry to 3rd Semester MCA for BCA, BSc(Computer Sciences), BSc(IT),PGDCA
  • **Lateral Entry to 5th Semester MCA for MSc(IT)/MSc(CS)
  • ** Lateral Entry to 3rd semester BCA after 3 years DCA.

LATE ADMISSION POLICY

Understanding that the students often have valid reasons for late applications, the University recommends the following policy for late admissions:

1. Regular admissions shall be continued till 30 days after the first day of classes

2. After the close of admissions and up to thirty days , students may be admitted with the following provisions:

  • Students shall be admitted with a specific undertaking that it may not always be possible for the student to catch up with classes, in spite of extra academic support and in which case the University will not be held liable
  • These students will be mentored by individual faculty member(s) to catch up their academic work
  • Students will undergo counselling if required
  • Late admission fee for academic support is applicable if a module (s) is completed by the time the students take admission
  • The late admission fee will be charged as per University Policy for all courses. The total fee for the subject shall be shared by the number of students availing the extra classes
  • A log of the supplementary learning and CFE will be maintained and signed by the student, faculty member and HOD and forwarded to the Dean Academics for academic and administrative processing
  • The student may be permitted to proceed to the second Semester according to the Promotion Policy of the University

3. Late admissions may be permitted after two months of the first day of classes with the approval of the Vice Chancellor and subject to para 2 above.

The tentative date for starting of classes for newly admitted students is August 3, 2020 for diploma and undergraduate courses. This date is subject to alteration, dependent on the Covid situation and according to government orders. Any changes will be announced on the university website. For lateral entry students, the starting date is July 15, 2020, unless announced separately for various courses.
