About The Program

The 5 Year Integrated UG Programme is designed to bridge the gap between secondary education and undergraduate degree studies. It offers a holistic curriculum focusing on essential skills and knowledge areas, preparing students for diverse academic and professional pursuits.

This programme is aligned with the National Credit Framework (NCrF) under level 3.5 and 4 and the University Grants Commission (UGC) Regulations for Undergraduate Degree Education 2025 which states the recommendation of NEP 2020 comprising of flexible degree programs of varying durations, multiple entry and exit options, integration of general and vocational education, and the recognition of prior learning to mention a few.

The programme incorporates multidisciplinary approaches which will also allow students to integrate into any undergraduate degree programme after completing the 2 years diploma.

2 + 3 years

Eligibility

Class X and/or enrolled in NIOS Class XI or XII . Provisional admission can be given to those awaiting results of Class X.

Program Structure

The 5 Year Integrated UG Programme spans two years diploma programme and 3 years of UG programme, however, if a student(s) wants to opt for the honours UG programme they can continue for 1 more year.

The 1st year of the diploma encompasses the following five core courses:

- English : Enhancing communication skills, comprehension, and critical analysis.

- Environment and Culture : Fostering awareness of ecological issues, sustainable development, local resources, and cultural diversity.

- Health Education : Promoting physical well-being, mental health, and lifestyle management.

- Social Sciences : Community studies, rural and tribal economies, history and civic responsibilities.

- Information Technology (IT) : Developing digital literacy and technological competencies.

- General competencies : General competencies: critical thinking and problem solving, numeracy and basic data literacy, emotional intelligence and well-being, and understanding India.

The second year will comprise electives aligned with the Bachelor's programme that the student opts for.

After completion of the 2 years diploma, the student may join any of the degree programmes (BA / BSc / BBA / BSW / BPES / BAPSE / BCom / BCA / BVA /BTTM ) in MLCU.

However, should a student(s) opt not to pursue the 3 year UG programme a Diploma will be awarded.
