MSc in Nutrition and Dietetics (Foods and Nutrition)
Duration: 2 years (4 semesters coursework and internship). Post coursework students are encouraged to attend Registered Dietetian (RD) Internship.
Eligibility: Any bachelor degree in one of the following:
- Food Nutrition and Dietetics
- Home Science with Food and Nutrition as a specialisation. The student should have covered a minimum of four courses out of the following: Nutritional Biochemistry, Food Microbiology, Basic Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition and Therapeutic Nutrition.
- Any undergraduate degree with a minimum of 4 nutrition-related subjects like (i) Basic Nutrition (ii) Biochemistry (iii) Human Physiology (iv) Diet Therapy (v) Clinical Nutrition (vi) Diet in Diseases.
- PG Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics are eligible for lateral entry to the 3rd semester.
Lateral entry to the third semester after:
- A postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics with an undergraduate degree course in Nutrition, or
- A four-year undergraduate degree with honors in Nutrition and Dietetics.
