The department aspires to produce industry-ready students by keeping pace with
rapidly changing computing technologies and create computer professionals of
high standards capable of adapting to the needs of the society to which they belong.
Other than imparting technical skills, the department aims at providing holistic
self- development to the students.
Students of the department are involved in developing projects that could benefit
people. Some of these special projects and activities are:
• Implementation of the Spoken Tutorial Project of the Indian Institute of
Technology, Bombay
• Symantec IT Training project in collaboration with ETPL, Shillong.
• Projects in software development, hardware, and networking
infrastructure implementation
• Community outreach programme under the theme “LEARN, TEACH,
SERVE”
