The learning of indigenous, official and foreign languages has assumed important significance in different social and professional spheres as well as in the different courses offered at neighboring educational and training institutes in the country. In keeping with the requirements of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 that has given importance to the teaching of indigenous languages, the Centre for Language and Culture is offering Certificate of Proficiency courses in functional Khasi and Garo which are the official languages of the state of Meghalaya, India and also in functional Hindi which is the official language of the country. Additionally, foreign languages will also be offered. The Certificate of Proficiency course will have a total of 4 credits which is equivalent to 60 study hours.  3 credits will be dedicated to theory and 0.5 credits to practicum.
